2014 Combined Harbour Regatta Cruiser Race Instructions V4 26 5 14

This is the first Interclub race of the year.  The start is at Gleeds at 11.00hrs.  You can go alongside Hardway S.C pontoon on Friday afternoon, HW 14.23 or Friday night. HW 02.34.  Saturday morning.

Races 5 & 6 of the Summer Series are on Sunday 13th July. First start at 12.00. HW 12.50  There are two Club Luggers available with new sails so why not take part.

Race 3 starts on Saturday 15th March at 10.00 hrs with race 4 on Sunday 16th March starting at 10.30 hrs. If you require a race number please contact Chris Hare.

Roughay Bowl 2014

The Roughay bowl is a five race series 3 races to count. There are 2 races on Saturday  29th March and 3 races on Sunday 30th March  so you can win even if you can’t make Saturday’s racing. There are 2 Club luggers available on a first come first served basis. Come along and have some fun. Cuff Billet is playing on Saturday afternoon with prize giving after racing on Sunday.

Races 9 & 10 of the Winter Series are on Sunday 22nd December. First start at 12.30. HW 14.05.  There are two Club Luggers available with new sails so why not take part.

There is a new series  the ‘Lugger Personal Handicap Series’ which will run in parallel with the winter and new year series from which the elapsed times will be taken.

The handicaps allocated are plus or minus in minutes and seconds based on your  elapsed time of each race to get your corrected time. The handicaps will be adjusted at some time during the series to reflect your results.  It is very early days yet so if you are always in the middle or back of the fleet there is a pot to win.

On Saturday the 5th October is race three. Starting at 11.00. HW 12.22. Followed on Sunday by race four. Starting at 11.00. HW 12.55.   The Sunday race is also the Commodores Race.

If you wish to race but have not got a race number just turn up at the start and it can be issued later.  Contact Chris Hare for a race number. Full details with the coarse chart can be found under the Yacht Racing tab.

Races 3 & 4 for the Captains Series Trophy is on Sunday the 6th October. The first start is at 12.00. HW 12.55    

The Nab Tower Race Saturday the 15th June. Start time 11.00. HW 16.45.

The race was abandoned due to adverse weather conditions.  

The Pewit Island Race is open to Luggers and Dinghys who will get a separate start.

First start is at 11.00hrs on Sunday the 9th June.

After the race  there is a BBQ.

There are two Club luggers, two Picos, an Enterprise and a x dinghy available on a first come basis.
